Internship program provides candidates with great learning experiences and will allow them to practice and understand their role from a diplomat's perspective.

Besides the desired field, by and large the candidates will be required to undertake some administrative roles too. While the mentors will ensure to get the interns involved in tasks related to their fields, routine filing, data entry and photocopying will be incorporated to their daily tasks. Further responsibilities will be tailored to the individual interests of the intern and may encompass other departments and fields in the Embassy.

The Embassy of Afghanistan has been implementing the internship for the past two years now. During the past two years more than 10 interns have successfully undertaken their internship in the above mentioned fields. All internship positions are unpaid. Depending on the university, an opportunity to earn university credit may be available and we are more than happy to complete a report about the daily activities to the concerned educational institution.
